Community involvement
At Albion Park Rail Public School, our community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe children thrive when schools and families work together, and we value the ideas, energy and support our parents and carers bring to school life. There are many ways to get involved, from joining our active Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) and supporting school events to volunteering your time and sharing your skills. Every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen connections, create opportunities for our students and build the welcoming, inclusive and vibrant school community.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our amazing P&C has a proud tradition of supporting Albion Park Rail Public School for many years and has raised and contributed a huge amount of funds and resources to help in the education of our students.
Joining the P&C is a positive way to demonstrate to your child that you are involved in the school community and their education. The children love to see their families involved in the school.

P&C meetings
Our monthly meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month at 6pm in the school Library. We like to keep them informal and relaxed. We would love the input of new members and the community. You do not need to be a P&C member to attend. As a P&C member you are able to be involved in decisions being made about your child’s education with the Principal and other parents during our meetings.
Volunteer at our school
Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- helping in the canteen
- getting involved in the P&C
- listening to children read in the classroom
- volunteering on sports days and other school events
- helping supervise excursions.
