Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools. Involve your children in discussions about how to be safe when walking, in the car, waiting for the bus, riding bikes and scooters, safe travel routes, planning for unexpected events and what to do in wet weather.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones, even if that means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
• follow speed signs
• be a good role model
• cross the road with your child, instead of calling them across the road to you
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
